Twiggy Editorial Shoot | Carytown Richmond Virginia

When my friend Melissa of Melly Beauty Makeup Artistry reached out and asked me to collaborate on an editorial shoot I. WAS. ECSTATIC. We originally tried to set a date all the way back in October of 2018 but between her working at Halloween Haunt, and my wedding season being craaaaaazy, we couldn’t align our schedules or plan a solid date. I’m actually grateful we ended up waiting until January because we were gifted with the most beautiful weather + light that day!!!

This shoot was inspired by the English fashion model and icon “Twiggy”. Known for her signature bold lashes and boyish haircut, she was crowned “the face of 1966”. A legend not just in the fashion industry, but also film and music, she personified joy and youthfulness throughout her career. Our goal was to embody those qualities and bring them to life, and boy did our model Micaela deliver!

She brought the perfect balance of depth and poise while maintaining her sweetness and joy. 🙂
I couldn’t be more PROUD of what the three of us created and can’t wait to show you more of our collaborations!
Keep your eyes peeled because there are a LOT of fun things coming in the next few weeks. 😉

Melissa, it was an honor to bring your vision to life! Thank you for trusting me to take on this challenge. <3

Xoxo and Enjoy!!!!

We’re never without our snacks 😉

Have you ever seen such beautiful blue eyes???! GAHHHH!

Garage window lighting is where it’s at <3333

This coat was EVERYTHING

Sigh…. Micaela’s hair makes me miss my pixie cut hahaha.

A little bit of Audrey happened and I’m still not over it <3

I made her risk her life by sitting on the garage wall on the second level hahaha! WORTH. IT.

It was crazy windy toward the end of the day so poor Micaela’s eyes kept watering, requiring lots of touch-ups hahaha.

Micaela’s eyes are just SO STUNNING <3

Look at this cutie pie!

Still not over this jacket/her whole ensemble <3

The vintage feel and architecture of The Byrd Theater is one of my favorite spots in Carytown!

This had to be timed just right because of the heavy flow of traffic on the street! She nailed it!!!

ICONIC. That is all.

Reflections slay me Every. Time.
